Snippet from the Book

"What can you do at home, working on your own? Provided you have the right tools, more than you might think. Replacing parts such as sights and barrels, checkering and stippling metal work, delicate stoning of trigger parts for a better trigger pull - all are within the ability of the shooter who wants to do his or her own work." - Patrick Sweeney

Good Book for Gun Guys Review by Andy

You're a home defense guy? Sport shooter? Hunter? Police officer? No matter what your interest in handguns, it's in your best interest to know how the thing works. You want to know how to field strip it for basic cleaning and how to take it down for more thorough cleaning. You want to be able to make basic repairs, because there may come a time when you need the gun and you're not near a gunsmith. This is a good book. It's well written by a qualified gunsmith. It's got tons of helpful info and there are a lot of helpful pictures. As the associate editor of Gun Digest the Magazine, I highly recommend it. In fact, I gave it as a gift to a gun guy in my family and he thinks it's great. He's got one of my guns now to do a piece of work on it. How's that for an endorsement?!
